the car will "run out of gear" by the end of the straight-away. If not, the increase in gearing should enhance performance. If it necessitates shifting into 5th gear (Topping 4th gear out before the end of the straight, then the gears would be a liability). Same for drag racing, if you are out of 4th gear power in a manual, or 3rd gear in an auto before the finish line it would be best to keep the stock gearing. We are going to try the gears on some high MPH drag cars and see what happens. I welcome road racers feedback, as it is not my forte. Take care, Mark
